Residential Curbside Guidelines

Advanced Disposal operates mechanical right-hand routing on all residential routes because it is much safer.

Each resident is provided one 90 gallon trash can for collection of bagged household trash.  All other items must be taken to the Worth County Transfer Station.

Residents may request additional carts for a fee by contacting the Solid Waste office.

Residents that are unable to take their garbage carts to the roadside may qualify for back door service.  Contact the Solid Waste office for details.

In order to receive the best service possible, please observe the following:

  • Place carts no more than 4 feet from the roadside the night before your scheduled collection day or no later than 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection day. Our contracted service provider may not arrive at the same time every week.
  • 4 feet of clearance around the cart is needed for the mechanical arm to be operated.
  • Please place carts away from  mailboxes, fences, poles, parked cars, or low hanging limbs.
  • The cart handle should be on your property side.
  • Only Advanced Disposal containers will be emptied.
  • Do not overfill or place items outside of the cart.
  • Secure trash in tied plastic bags to reduce spillage.
  • Please do not use rope, bungee cords, bricks, or any type of strapping device on the lids, this will prevent collection.
  • For safety reasons, please restrain pets on collection day.
  • If cart requires cleaning, use mild soap and water.
  • Do not place heavy items such as concrete, sand, gravel, or dirt in the cart
  • Do not place hazordous materials, chemicals, or flammable liquids in the cart.
  • If the cart is melted, you may be charged to replace the cart.
  • Damaged carts will be replaced or repaired at the discretion of Advanced Disposal. Please contact the Solid Waste office for scheduling.
