The Worth County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing/called meeting at the Building & Zoning Department at 204 E. Franklin Street Suite 16 Sylvester, Ga. 31791 at 6:00 pm on July 6, 2023.
- Recommendation on the request by Christopher Powell for an application for Rezoning of property from R-1 1000’/ AG to R-1 210’/ AG. The property is 11.38 acres on parcel 00700027, 3848 Ga Hwy 33 N. Sylvester, Ga., Property Owner Toney Lee Graham.
- Recommendation on the Rezoning of property from R1 to R1(CU) for new Georgia State Patrol Office. The property is 10 acres on 0045003300F, 107 Airport Rd., Sylvester, Ga., Property Owner Worth County Board of Commissioners.
- Recommendation on the request by Daniel Gray, Jr. for an application for a Variance (Acreage). The property is approximately 1 acre on parcel 01010003, Brown Cemetery Rd. TyTy, Ga., Property Owner Charles J. Sledge.
At the public hearing, the Planning Commission will make a recommendation to be submitted to the Chairman and County Commissioners.
The Chairman and Commissioners will hold a public hearing, followed by a regular meeting on the third (3rd) floor of the Courthouse located at 201 N Main St. Sylvester, Ga. 31791 in the Commission Board Room at 7:00 pm on July 20, 2023. At that time, the Commissioners will hear public comments and consider the recommendation of the Planning Commission and make their decision on the zoning applications.
