Public Notice and Call will be made available after the City Council Meeting 1/18/2021.

Online absentee ballot portal is NOT available for Municipal elections. Absentees will be sent starting 2/22/2021. NEW applications are required for all upcoming elections in this cycle.

Call for Special Election to Fill A Vacancy

Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 21-2-540 A SPECIAL ELECTION SHALL BE HELD in the City of Sylvester to fill the vacancy in the office for Councilman Ward 4, caused by the death of the Honorable Larry Johnson, The Special Election will be held on March 16, 2021.

Qualifying for the Special Election shall be held at the _Depot,     City Clerk_______, 102 S Main Street, Sylvester, Georgia; beginning at 9:00 AM on _February 1_, _2021________ and shall end at 5:00 PM on _February 3,_ 2021. The qualifying fee for said office shall be $_144.00_______.

All persons who are not registered to vote and who desire to register to vote in the Special Election may register to vote through the close of business on February 16, 2021. Advance voting will be held on February 22, 2021 and will end on March 12, 2021 from 9am to 5 PM at the Worth County Courthouse Room 10. The polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on the day of the election.

Should a runoff election be required, such runoff will be held on April 13, 2021.
