Worth County has an opening for the following position: Lieutenant Firefighter.
This front-line fire officer answers to the fire Captain and Chief Officers and oversees operations of subordinate firefighters. Lieutenant will assist in incident command at emergencies calls and work in all aspects of fire and rescue. Additional assignments and responsibilities will be given as needed.
The Lieutenant candidate must have a valid driver’s license. A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be required for the previous three years prior to employment. Candidate must have a pro board firefighter level 1 certification and be knowledgeable in pump operations and the fire district coverage area. The candidate must display professionalism and leadership qualities. The candidate must be physically able to perform the duties of a line officer. Five years of firefighting experience is preferred.
The candidate must obtain any additional training and certification as required. Certifications that will be required include:
NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800
Pro board firefighter level 1
Emergency vehicle driver
