FOR THE WORTH COUNTY DIRT ROAD RESTORATION PROJECTS

Sealed Bids: The Worth County Board of Commissioners will accept sealed bids for the construction of the work entitled “The Worth County Dirt Road Restoration Projects” until 11:00 A.M. EST on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the Worth County Courthouse, 201 N Main Street, Suite 30, Sylvester, Georgia, 31791, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a period of 60 calendar days.

Sealed envelopes must be clearly marked “Bid Proposal for The Worth County Dirt Road Restoration Projects” and can be delivered in-person, by mail or by private courier to the Worth County Clerk, Angela Harrah, at 201 N Main Street, Suite 30, Sylvester, Georgia. Worth County is not responsible for the submittal of the bids. Bids received after 11:00 A.M. EST on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 will not be considered and will be rejected. Bids must include a list of Contractor’s experience with dirt road projects similar to the work described in the project documents.

Description: The work to be performed shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the projects entitled The Worth County Dirt Road Restoration Projects. In general, construction consists of the restoration of sections of Ausby Road, Egypt Road, Story Road, and Mt. Horeb Road as shown in the Project Documents. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 9:30 A.M. at the Worth County Courthouse.

The work shall be fully completed within one hundred and twenty (120) consecutive calendar days from the date that the Notice To Proceed is issued. Payment will be made within thirty (30) days after receipt of each Application for Payment as further outlined in the Project Documents. Plans and Specifications: Project Documents with specifications for bidding purposes can be obtained at the Worth County Administrator’s office at 201 N Main Street, Suite 30, Sylvester, GA, 31791. or by an email request to Carl Rowland, County Administrator, (crowland [at] worthcountyboc.com (crowland[at]worthcountyboc[dot]com) ).

Bonds: All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. All bonds must appear on the Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 Listing, latest edition.

Reservations: Worth County reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any and all lawful reasons, including without limitation, the right to reject any and all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids and to reject the bid of any bidder whom Worth County believes would not be in the best interest of the project to make an award to that bidder whether because the bid is not responsive, the bidder is unqualified, or of doubtful financial ability, or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria.
