NOTICE

The Worth County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing/called meeting at the Building & Zoning Department at 204 E. Franklin Street Suite 16 Sylvester, Ga. 31791 at 6:00 pm on May 7, 2026. 

  • Recommendation on the request through application for a Rezoning to Agricultural-Conditional Use (AG-CU) for a Communication Tower in an Agricultural (AG) zoned area. The property is 58.72 acres on parcel 00790003, 1704 Cane Mill Road Sylvester, Ga., Property owner Donald J. Wingate.

  • Recommendation on the request through application for a Rezoning from Residential (R1) to Commercial (C1) for future business development. The property is two (2) lots approximately .5 acres each on parcel 0045A03600A, 2846 W. US Hwy 82, Sylvester, Ga. and parcel 0045A037, 2840 W. US Hwy 82, Sylvester, Ga., Property owner The Dice & Lynn Roberts DGT Trusts Co Trust Eligah Roberts, Leland Roberts, & Ashley Roberts.

At the public hearing, the Planning Commission will make a recommendation to be submitted to the Chairman and County Commissioners.

The Board of Commissioners of Worth County will hold a public hearing, followed by a regular meeting on the third (3rd) floor of the Courthouse located at 201 N Main St. Sylvester, Ga. 31791 in the Commission Board Room at 7:00 pm on May 21, 2026.  At that time, the Commissioners will hear public comments and consider the recommendation of the Planning Commission and make their decision on the zoning application.
