The Worth County Landfill, located in Poulan, Georgia is a solid waste disposal facility that buries trash and garbage beneath layers of soil or other cover materials. Sanitary Landfills, dump sites, and garbage dumps in Worth County are regulated by both the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and by Georgia state environmental departments. Georgia is also responsible for permitting trash disposal facilities.
